Cookery Courses This Christmas

This course will teach you some of Italy’s best traditional rustic recipes that you will be itching to reproduce at home.  Throw out your measuring devices, Italian cookery is all about understanding how ingredients complement each other and having the confidence to go with your gut on quantities – you will be tasting, tasting, tasting all course long!

Price includes all ingredients, refreshments on arrival and during the day. You will eat some of the food you cook during the course at lunchtime and take home a recipe pack.

Stollen: The German Christmas Bread that is soaked in rum, made with a fruited dough and has marzipan through the middle.  The dough is made in two parts with a bulk fermentation added to the final dough to create a unique flavour and texture.

Mini Panettone: Learn how to make this beautiful, enriched bread with all the techniques involved – mixing, moulding, proving, shaping and dressing.

Mince Pies: Learn how to make the pastry by hand with the correct rolling and filling techniques to make the perfect mince pies – all ready for your after dinner treats.

The course includes all ingredients, refreshments on arrival and during the day, lunch (some of which you have prepared during the course) and a recipe pack.

A one day course, mainly “hands-on” but includes some demonstration, using all of the ovens and hot plates – full of hints, tips and cookery techniques.

Spicy pumpkin & sweet potato soup with a rock salt & rosemary focaccia

Slow cooked chicken casserole with herby dumplings

Gooey chocolate pond pudding

If you’re entertaining guests or cooking for the family at Christmas, then this course will provide some Yuletide themed dishes that will showcase your culinary skills.
