About Eckington Manor

Eckington's Passions & Philosophy

We are a small, friendly group of people who are passionate about food. We appreciate the journey of food and are lucky enough to have our own award-winning farm, orchard, vegetable and herb gardens to illustrate the importance of using good, seasonal ingredients.

All of our food is fully traceable and honestly prepared so that the natural flavours are enhanced not masked. Our Gold awarded accommodation features individually designed rooms and suites where our guests can truly relax and unwind. We strive for the best in everything we do, relax in the knowledge that every detail is taken care of.

Judy Gardner, our founder, believes that life doesn’t get much better than good food in a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere. She has spent her life working in the food industry – from her own kitchen, she started Garner’s Foods, which specialised in producing quality pickles and dressings.

In 2004, Judy bought the run down Manor Farm in Eckington. She lovingly restored the farm and its buildings, diversifying to offer outstanding accommodation, where her eye for design and attention to detail has resulted in simply stunning bedrooms and suites; and a cookery school offering a plethora of courses teaching everything from basic knife skills to advanced courses for professional chefs.

I have created Eckington Manor with a core belief that we should be encouraging people to buy British, favour local and honour seasonality. In doing so, we will all benefit from eating healthier, more flavoursome foods. Cooking should be relaxing and fun, a shared experience that enriches our lives. Working in the food industry for 30 years has helped me create my vision.
